It’s an easy craft for any age group to complete, and it makes a perfect addition to your Fall and Thanksgiving Decor. I designed this craft for our Relief Society to complete for their next activity. I hope you enjoy this beautiful craft! It’s easy to make, and a great idea for a group project, especially if you have a silhouette cameo, or circuit cutting machine.
DIRECTIONS
The Shadow Box and Paper
Purchase a 12 x 12 shadow box. I purchased mine from Walmart for $10, but for the activity, we purchased an 8 x8 size for only $5 off walmart.com. This craft cost the sisters $7 to complete.Purchase varying shades of scrap book paper and cardstock in shades of bronze, gold, rose gold, yellow, etc.*
The Patterns
Use these patterns to complete the craft. Cut varying sizes of leaves to suit your taste.
Cutting Fall Leaves
Cut fall leaves from these patterns using a silhouette or circuit, or even tracing and cutting with a razor blade.
.
Gather and Foam
Cut the word gather twice. Glue it to ivory cardstock (size 12×12). Then use foam stickers to elevate the other word “gather” on top of the other “gather” word.
Falling Leaves
Crease cut leaves on natural seams to form scooped leaves.
Creating the Scene
Cut the branches. Glue on branches and leaves using a glue stick. I suggest placing the leaves in a cascading direction across the page, as if they were blown in direction of the wind. Finally, place your creation in the shadow box.
