After 3 attempts at this garland, I finally figured it out! Here’s what I did!👇🏻
You will need:
7 pieces of 6 foot garland
Green rose wire
Garland command hooks
Two Red Berry Christmas trees, or tall figurines of some type
1-25 foot strand of warm white lights
1-25 foot strand of large colored bulbs
15 Extra-large pine cones
40 multicolored Christmas bulbs wired into bunches
Between 6 and 8 spools of decorative wide- ribbon
15 Decorative Cranberry Sprigs
INSTRUCTIONS:
🎄 First, place your red trees on each end of the mantle for spacing.
🎄Attach command garland straps on the top side of each end of the mantle. (LINK)
🎄Plug in light strands behind the tvbefore you create the garland.
🎄Twist two pieces of the garland together. This will start your right side.
🎄Twist an additional two pieces of garland together and attach the ends of that with wire to the ends of the other twisted garland. This will complete the top of the mantle.
🎄For your final three pieces of garland, twist them together forming the left side. Use wire to tie the three twisted pieces to the other twisted pieces. This will form the bulky left side of your garland. The length should hover just above the floor on the left side.
🎄Strap all the garland into the command hooks. Make sure it is secure, and that all the garland is wired together well. It gets heavier as you add ornaments and decorations and can ruin the whole thing if it’s not.
🎄Weave one strand, 25 feet long, of warm white lights into the garland.
🎄Weave the next strand, 25 feet long, of large colored bulbs into the garland.
🎄Make a bow. Form loops into a figure 8 using wire to secure the center. Do this two times each with two different color ribbons, then wire them all together to form the loops of a single bow, Add this large bow on the left-hand side of the garland, to the upper corner.
🎄The loop and tuck method: Use two long pieces of ribbon to form loops that cascade down the front of the left side of the garland—as if it were the tails of the bow. Form a loop, then tuck it in. Secure each loop with wire. Do this all the way down the left side with alternating colors of ribbon.
🎄Using both colors of ribbon, make ribbon tails with clipped ends. Wire in these tails throughout the garland.
🎄Wire in the large pine cones. Make them appear as though they are dripping down the left side.
🎄Wire bunches of assorted bulbs together. Five or six in each bunch, and wire them throughout the garland.
🎄Slide in cranberry sprigs where there are remaining gaps.
