Fourth of July Burlap Wreath
Fourth of July Burlap Wreath
It’s the Fourth of July, and we are planning on a a big celebration with family and friends. My husband and I love grilling out our favorite foods, playing our favorite festive music, and then heading out for the local firework celebration later in the evening. It’s a party all day long at my house on the Fourth! Part of the festivities, at least for me anyway, is the crafting I get to do prior to the holiday celebration. I love decoration, and I love crafting. I found this wonderful striped, red-white-and-blue, burlap ribbon at Joann Fabrics for 60% off, and I just couldn’t pass it up. I purchased my wire wreath from the dollar store, as well as the green floral wire. This project probably cost around $15, and I love how it turned out! Don’t be afraid to tackle a burlap wreath–it’s a simple project that doesn’t require a ton of skill. I like to add extra ribbon strands to the wreath for a little dimension as well. If you are looking for an easy project this Fourth of July, go no further than here.
These are the Burlap ribbons I got at Joann Fabrics (my favorite store). I also mixed in some thinner, regular spools of ribbon for some contrast.
Next step, gathering your ribbon into loops and wiring it on to the wire wreath.
Then I alternated the gaps, and filled them in with the striped burlap.
Finally, I took some coordinating burlap ribbon I bought from the dollar store, layered it with the skinny ribbon, clipped the edges, and wired it in the center. Then wire this piece strategically through the wreath.
Finally, your finished product! Isn’t she beautiful!
